A few words about the designer of the Bok chairs: Alain Van Havre

"I am fascinated by the freedom that movement allows in general. This is what fuels my desire to escape the static in each of my creations and pushes me to introduce dynamism into every composition."

Inspiration is at the heart of Alain van Havre's approach. Passionate about natural materials and intimately connected to his environment, he possesses exceptional mastery of woodworking. Over time, he has developed a unique visual signature focused on form, illustrated by his emblematic collections Bok, Graphic, and Stairs. His philosophy is based on a conviction: for a connection to be established between the user and the object, the design must remain as close to nature as possible.

For two decades, Alain has held a central role at Ethnicraft, leaving his mark on these creations that have now become so familiar and precious to us.
